One-putt for a card β best poker hand wins
Everyone antes in, then you collect cards through the round for good putting and pay penalties for bad. At the end, everyone builds their best five-card poker hand from the cards they earned, and the best hand takes the pot.
Avoid holding the animal at the end
Each "animal" is a badge for a bad hole β a three-putt, a ball in the water, and so on. You get stuck holding it until someone else does the same thing and takes it from you. Whoever is holding each animal when the round ends pays out.
Three points up for grabs every hole
Three points are available on every hole: Bing for the first ball on the green, Bango for closest to the pin once everyone's on, and Bongo for the first to hole out. It rewards all skill levels, not just the longest hitter.
One player solo, the rest scramble
A rotating twist on team play. Each hole one player is the "Lone Ranger" going solo, while everyone else plays together as a scramble team. The role rotates hole by hole so everyone takes a turn alone.
Three bets in one β front, back, overall
Nassau is really three separate matches: the front nine, the back nine, and the full eighteen. You can win or lose each one independently, and a losing side can "press" to start a new bet from that point.
Longest made putt pays the most β one shot at it
Once all four balls are on the green, players are paid by how far out their made putt is β draining a long one is worth the most, and it steps down as you get closer to the hole. You only get one chance at your money putt.
Best shot every time β the outing classic
The classic team event format. Everyone hits every shot, the team picks the best one, and all players play their next from that spot β all the way in. One team score per hole. Fast, forgiving, ideal for outings.
Best drive, then play your own ball
A team format between scramble and stroke play. Everyone tees off, the team plays from the best drive, and from there each player finishes the hole with their own ball. The team's best score counts.
The classic hole-by-hole game
Each hole is worth one "skin." Win the hole outright with the lowest score and you win the skin. If two or more players tie, no one wins it and the skin carries over to the next hole.
Combined net scores decide each hole
A team match on combined net score. Each team adds its players' net scores per hole, and the lower total wins the hole. Handicap strokes apply, and "Roll the Drums" can raise a hole's stakes.
Team scores pair into one big number
A high-stakes team game for four. Partners' scores pair into a two-digit number β lowest digit first, not added. A 4 and a 5 makes 45. The difference between the two teams' numbers is the points won, so a blow-up hole swings things hard.
Rotating wolf picks a partner or goes solo
Four players rotate being the "Wolf" each hole. After watching tee shots, the Wolf either picks a partner for a 2-on-2 hole or goes solo against the other three for bigger points. Declaring "Blind Wolf" before anyone hits raises the stakes further.
