About PayUpGolf
The story behind the app that makes running leagues and outings simple — and keeps every side game straight.
How It Started
PayUpGolf was originally created and sketched during my time at Air Force Basic Training. In the little down time we had to write letters, I would design page after page, user interface after user interface — all with the sole purpose of creating the perfect golf companion app.
It took six years later to actually start making the dream a reality. At first this was mainly created to keep track of our side games that we would play at our home course, but it quickly took off to be a whole golf companion app with leagues, outings, and all the golf course yardages.
The Mission
PayUpGolf makes running golf leagues and outings simple — from the first tee time to the final payout. Build a season schedule, take sign-ups with a join code, assign groups and tee times, and let standings, handicaps and side-game money keep themselves current. No clipboards, no spreadsheet nobody wants to update.
On the course, players enter scores from their phones and anyone can follow a live leaderboard from a link — with the course's name on it. And the side games golfers already love — skins, Nassau, animals and the rest — settle themselves automatically, so nobody's doing math on the 14th.
Whether you're a commissioner running a 28-team league, an organizer putting on a charity scramble, or a foursome playing a casual $5 Nassau, PayUpGolf has you covered. It's free for every golfer who plays — only the person running the show needs a plan.
